Editorial Review:
Product Description: The Rogue Starter Acoustic Guitar is an amazing deal for a small-bodied guitar. The smaller profile is very playable for kids, has nice tone, and can be yours for chump change. It has a maple neck and rosewood fretboard and comes set up with Martin strings.

I bought this for my 7 year old for Christmas... he's thrilled. First of all it's one of the most attractive starter guitars I've seen, second, once we changed out the strings for some slightly higher quality, the guitar sounds great (well as great as a 7 year old with no training can sound). I loved the low cost simply because we have no idea how long he'll enjoy messing around with it.

This guitar is so cool looking in person - the blue hues are neat to look at. It's a well made guitar and perfect for my 11 year old son who wants to learn to play one. He loved it! Nice sound for a starter guitar.

I have both this guitar and the Rogue 100D. I have to say that while the blue burst is attractive to look at, a bit more flashy than the black Rogue 100D, closer inspection shows some rough edges and glue marks that I do not find on the slightly higher-priced Rogue 100D. The cost difference between the two is so slight that I have to recommend the slightly higher-priced Rogue 100D unless you have your heart absolutely set on the blue burst design. Another difference to keep in mind is that the Rougue ... Read More

I got this guitar due to the smaller size. The neck is the only thing noticibly shorter which is perfect for a small framed person. It is a starter guitar but the sound quality is great. I've only had to tune it the day I got it. I've played it every day since & it's still in tune. I've had it for 3 weeks now. I got the blueburst & it is very attractive.

So far I have ordered two of these guitars (blue). How many times as parents have we spent loads of money on things our kids/teens just had to have, only to find the items sitting unused merely months later. I wanted my daughter to have the opportunity to explore her interest and talent at playing the guitar without spending a fortune. I have to admit that the low price made me skeptical. I have seen "starter" guitars at the local Wal-Mart for over $80.00 that really looked cheap. I was extremely pleased ... Read More
